1. What are the exact dates of the program?
A: August 2-14, 2011
2. Where is the Project-Incubator taking place?
A: At Paideia in Stockholm and at Uppsala University
3. How much will it cost to participate in Project-Incubator?
A: Nothing!
4. Does it include transportation to the venue?
A: No. The only cost you as a participant will have to cover is your travel to Stockholm.
5. In which language will the program be held?
A: The program will be held in English.
6. How can I apply to participate in the program?
A: Very easy, follow this link and request an invitation to participate. We will then send you a link to the application form.
7. After filling in the application form, can I consider myself a participant of the program?
A: No. At this stage, you're applying to become one of 20 participants. After submitting your application, we will contact you with a final status update.
8. Who should I expect to meet in the program?
A: If invited to attend the Project-Incubator, you will join a group of 20 participants from all over Europe, working on different projects for Jewish life and culture. After 8 days, you will be joined by another 40 activists in Uppsala during the JPropel event, all of whom are involved in innovative initiatives to create new expressions of Jewish life and culture in Europe.
You might also want to stay on for the conference, to meet stellar academicians from across the world and some 250 participants working for Jewish life and culture from all over Europe, Israel and the US.
9. Could you tell me a bit more about the program itself?
A: The Project-Incubator is a step-by-step method based program to give you the tools to make your project reality. It includes vision building, fundraising, budgeting, Jewish content and much more. The staff is drawn from major international organizations working with Jewish social entrepreneurship.
10. What are the acceptance criteria?
A: Applications will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
-Merit and feasibility of the proposed project.
-The Jewish-European dimension of the project.
-The applicant's personal capacities in the project's field, in leading projects or in involvement in the Jewish world.
In addition, we will seek to assemble a geographically diverse group including representation from different countries in Europe. Although the applicant does not need to be European, preference will be given to European candidates.
11. Are there any further requirements?
A: These are the requirements:
-Prepared to participate in the Project- Incubator in full (August 2-14, 2011).
-Availability to work on realizing the project during next year (2011-2012).
-You can not have participated in the Project-Incubator previously.
-A background in Jewish studies and/or an active involvement in Jewish culture.
-Minimum age 20.
-Projects should have a clear social benefit.
12. Will the food be Kosher?
A: The whole program will be "Kosher Style". If you require a strictly Kosher menu, please state that this is the case in your application form and we will do our best to meet your needs.
